The municipal library of Torgnon was opened in 1977 making it one of the first in the Aosta Valley. Located on the second floor of the town hall, it offers 9,000 Italian and French books, for adults and teenagers, consulting works, audiovisual material and newsletters of the villages in the Aosta Valley. It avails of numerous reading stations and is provided with a music listening area and viewing area for video cassettes and DVD. Services are free for both residents and tourists. The library is the cultural centre of the town and organises different activities: training courses, exhibitions, outings, conferences, book presentations and competitions.
The municipal library of Torgnon, like the tourist office, avails of an Internet Point, where it is possible to surf the web and read e-mail. The opening hours are:
Wednesdays from 14.00 to 17.00
Thursdays from 13.30 to 17.30
Fridays from 13.30 to 17.30
Saturdays from 14.00 to 18.00
